Amazing Time

We had an amazing time at this vacation home, which is perfectly designed for groups. We spent January 26, 2025-February 2nd, 2025 in Villa Topaz. The nearly 360-degree ocean view from the stunning patio is unbeatable, and on clear days, you can even spot the mainland! The pool was refreshing on hot days, and lounging on the comfortable patio furniture at night offered a wonderful opportunity for stargazing.I was initially concerned that the bedrooms, located below the living space, might be noisy due to foot traffic upstairs. But I was pleasantly surprised — the bedrooms were incredibly quiet, even with plenty of activity happening elsewhere in the house.We also hired a private chef a few times, and it was absolutely worth it. The hosts helped us arrange this, and I'm so glad we followed their recommendation. We also used the driver they suggested, which worked out perfectly.Chantalle and Paul, the hosts, are a huge part of what makes this home so special. They’re laid-back, attentive, and always ready to help when needed. For example, when our group was using more ice than the freezer could handle, we reached out to check if we had accidentally turned off the ice maker. A short while later, Paul came by to inspect the freezer and, without us even asking, brought over a big bag of ice. They even lent us their snorkel gear, and one night Chantalle joined us for a fun evening of cards. On our last day, I asked if they had any small Honduran bills (Lempira) for a nephew's souvenir. Not only did they find some for me, but they refused to accept any US dollars in exchange, which was another example of their generosity.Overall, this home and the hosts made for an unforgettable vacation! Rooms: Each room had a well-appointed bathroom stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The bed was incredibly comfortable—the sheets, pillows, and mattress were all top-notch. I also appreciated the abundance of hangers in the closet, as well as the various storage options, including shelves, drawers, and hanging space. Each room also had its own A/C unit, which we only used at night, and it kept the rooms pleasantly cool for a great night's sleep. Nearby activities: There are plenty of activities to enjoy within a 5-45 minute drive. For more of my input on things nearby, check out the walkability section of my review. During our stay, we went zip lining at South Shore Canopy Zipline, which was less than a 10-minute drive from the house. One of our favorite days was spent on a private catamaran charter with Amavi Charters (about a 45-50 minute drive). We also dined at Luna Muna one evening, just a 10-minute drive away. There are so many other activities we didn’t have time to try, making this destination a great place to return to! Safety: I’ve traveled to many destinations worldwide, including other Caribbean islands, and I can honestly say that Roatan is the safest I’ve felt. This feeling of safety extends not only around the house but throughout the island as well. Walkability: The home is just a 5-10 minute walk to a nearby beach, where you can enjoy relaxing on the white sand, snorkeling in the turquoise water, or strolling along the shore, which is lined with a variety of restaurants and bars. However, the walk down to the beach is quite steep, so for anyone with mobility challenges, it’s better to arrange a ride instead.

Incredible and Beautiful

Villa Topaz is an incredible and beautiful property, sitting atop one of the highest peaks in the Island, giving you ridiculous views of both coasts. We had the main villa and were wowed. Incredible, fully stocked kitchen with top notch appliances, large tv in main area, infinity plunge pool, gorgeous terrace. The bedrooms were equally great - each had a private balcony overlooking the ocean, fantastic mattresses, sheets, bath towels, and a great indoor/outdoor shower. All areas have AC although we only used it a few times as the breeze was strong enough to cool the rooms and the main living area (including kitchen) had crosswinds constantly blowing. BUT the best part was the owners, who live on the property (separate villa). They are super friendly and welcoming, will hook you up with a driver who is always on time and also has a fleet of cars and scooters for rent, AND when I fell off a scooter, the owners immediately arrange for transport and medical care at a local clinic who did a great job.

Magnificent Home!

This is a magnificent home at the top of a hill overlooking the Caribbean on both sides of the house. Chantalle and Paul have thought of absolutely everything and could not be more accommodating. It is as if nothing makes them happier than sharing their home with you. The kitchen has every appliance and utensil you could think of. The furnishings are beautiful and comfortable, down to the luxurious Brooklinen sheets and towels. All you need is your bathing suit. And honestly, they would probably give you that too if you asked.

All I Can Say Is Wow!

All I can say is wow! Everything about this house blew us away. From the moment we walked in the door, it was very clean, had everything we needed, the views are spectacular and the hosts were very accommodating. We stayed in the main house for our first week, stunning views from every room. Very big and bright. We then moved to the guest house for our second week, it is so cozy and welcoming. We highly recommend, and already booked our next vacation with Villa Topaz.

Incredible!

I would not stay anywhere else in Roatan, as Villa Topaz is an incredible place to stay! The location is great, close to the most beautiful beach on the island. When you’re not in the pool, the beach is only a short walk away. The house itself is luxurious, equipped with everything you could ever need, and the owners of the property are friendly, helpful, and amazing at what they do.

Fantastic Stay!

My family and I had a fantastic stay over the Christmas holiday. The hosts were incredibly supportive of our requests during our stay, as we did not have a rental car. They arranged for private transportation to and from local attractions as well as the airport. The house was fully stocked with all of the items that you would expect including some beach gear that included towels, coolers, and some snorkeling gear. The Kimpton hotel which is right down the street has a fantastic beach and several gourmet restaurants, easily within 5 minutes walk. We utilized the private chef that was recommended by the hosts and have nothing but a good things to say, the food was top-notch! Please be aware, you are on an island so island time is a thing, just be flexible! We asked the hosts if by some chance they had a Christmas tree and they did! They even had some ornaments that we were able to put on the tree, which helped bring the Christmas spirit. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Hands Down The Best!

Hands down the best! Chantalle and Paul were just like family welcoming us in. They had many recommendations and would respond to anything we asked, we will definitely be back!! Do not hesitate to book this home! Our party of8 were all in love!!

Amazing Stay

We had an amazing stay! Three adults, one 9 year old and a 1 year old. Chantalle and Paul were absolutely amazing hosts. They live on site so they were around to check us in, make sure we had everything we needed and even let us visit a few times with their very sweet dogs. While they lived in an adjoining space, we still felt privacy and autonomy at the house. Everything was beautifully designed, furnished and super clean. There were bath, beach and pool towels, kitchen supplies-the works! Upon check-out, I was ready to reserve an hour or so to strip beds, launder towels, etc. but Nope! Chantelle told us not to worry about a thing and all would be handled on their end-a very nice surprise. Book this stay, you will be happy!

Beautiful and well-decorated

Beautiful and well-decorated. Bedrooms all have separate en suite bathrooms with separate towels for bath, pool and beach. Living room and kitchen flow nicely together and provide great views of the ocean on both sides. The kitchen has all the pots, pans and utensils you need, including essentials like plastic wrap and even parchment paper. The hosts have really missed nothing. The house is located a short walk from a number of dining options, stores and the beach. There is a short hill to go up on the return, but it's not strenuous, and it's gives you those great viewsAs great as the place is, the hosts are even better. They answered my seemingly endless questions prior to arrival, arranged a driver to meet us at the airport and make a grocery stop on the way, met us when we arrived, provided guidance on snorkeling sites, restaurants, sightseeing, made dinner reservations and more car reservations for us, and were there to say "goodbye" when we left. The definition of super-hosts.

Annual Friends Vacation

Our first time visiting Roatan, what a beautiful island! The people, beaches, food, were all great. Our hosts and their accommodations were absolutely exceptional!
